BAR MANAGER

Sandlewood Manor and Chateau Nouvelle are premier wedding venues known for their elegance and exceptional service. We are dedicated to providing our guests with unforgettable experiences, and we are seeking a talented Bar Manager to join our team and uphold our high standards.

We are looking for an experienced Bar Manager with strong leadership skills to oversee our bar operations. The successful candidate will ensure the highest level of guest satisfaction and staff job satisfaction through meticulous attention to operational details, maintaining a courteous attitude, and having a creative mindset to seek ways to elevate the guest experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

As a Bar Manager, you will be responsible for a wide variety of marketing activities, including but not limited to: 

​​

  • Manage day-to-day bar operations at both venues, ensuring smooth and efficient service

  • Lead, train, and motivate bar staff, fostering a professional and positive work environment

  • Maintain inventory, order supplies, and manage budgets to ensure cost-effective operations

  • Develop and implement innovative beverage menus, including the creation of signature cocktails that align with the elegant ambiance of our venues

  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and safe bar area

  • Ensure compliance with local laws and company policies

  • Handle guest inquiries and complaints with a courteous and professional attitude

  • Coordinate with event planners and other departments to ensure seamless service during events

  • Monitor and manage staff schedules, ensuring adequate coverage for all events

  • Schedule and oversee bar maintenance

  • Create and optimize processes to enhance bar operations

  • Utilize strong spreadsheet and Excel knowledge for pricing, inventory management, and financial reporting

  • Attribute dollar amounts for each event and manage event spending

  • Apply new ways to elevate the guest experience by constantly seeking and implementing improvements

  • Implement and manage inventory control systems to prevent shortages and ensure cost efficiency

  • Continuously evaluate and improve bar procedures and practices to ensure high standards of service

  • Attend weekly staff meetings to coordinate upcoming event details

  • Work with alcohol reps to elevate house brand selections

  • Attend quarterly bar tasting events at each venue

  • Collaborate with department heads on bar, client, and event needs

QUALIFICATIONS:​

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in bar management or a related role

  • Strong leadership and personnel management skills

  • Professional and positive attitude with a high level of professionalism

  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Proven ability to manage budgets, control inventory, and handle operational details

  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to bar operations

  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required

  • Proficiency in Excel for pricing and financial management

  • Flexibility to attend evening events and meetings outside of regular business hours as needed
